Bachelor of Science, Doctor of Chiropractic, Certified Acupuncturist, Certified Pedorthist Dr. Dan Perossa was born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario. He graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1992 with an Honours Bachelor of Science. He then attended Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, completing the four year program to become a Doctor of Chiropractic, graduating in 1996. In 2012 Dr. Perossa attended The Cranial Adjusting Technique seminar. This technique adjusts misalignments of the skull and the spine. It can correct a multitude of problems related to various head injuries resulting from a difficult birth, or from falls and blows to the head from sports or different activities. Dr. Perossa obtained his diploma of acupuncture from Acupoints Therapy Academy in 1994 and The Academy of Traditional Acupuncture in 1997. Dr. Perossa studied Electrical Acupuncture with Dr. Claro at the University of Toronto in 2004. Dr. Perossa also attended the Shiatsu School of Canada in Toronto in 2006 and 2010 studying Japanese Acupuncture with Dr. Kiiko Matsumoto. In 2008 and 2011 Dr. Perossa attended a seminar in Acupuncture Orthopedics, by world renown Dr. John Amaro. Since that seminar, Dr. Perossa visits Dr. Amaro's office in Carefree, Arizona almost yearly to learn new techniques. Dr. Perossa obtained his Canadian Pedorthic Certification in 2005. This qualifies him as a foot care specialist and trained specifically to assess, design, manufacture and fit custom-made foot orthotics and custom-made orthopedic shoes. Dr. Perossa has attended various seminars dealing with the Pediatric foot and its congenital deformities. He has attended the Xtra Depth University in 2006 to study the orthotic treatment of the Diabetic foot. In 2008, he studied the various conditions of the Pediatric foot in Toronto. He also attended the North American Pedorthic Conference in 2010 and 2014 in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Perossa also proctors the practical examination of new graduates for the College of Pedorthics of Canada, yearly. Dr. Perossa has also completed his certification in Emergency First Aid CPR C in 2020. Each of Dr. Perossa's disciplines has its own registration and continuing education requirements. Dr. Perossa has been registered with The College of Chiropractors of Ontario and Canada since 1996, The Acupuncture Council of Ontario since 1997 and the College of Pedorthics of Ontario and Canada since 2006. |
Heather Baker Registered Massage Therapist Heather spent over 20 years in the natural health industry learning about nutrition, vitamins & herbs before deciding to return to school and learn about physical healing. She graduated with honours from Trillium College in 2015 and successfully completed her board exams with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario in 2016. Since then, she has taken courses in acupressure and cupping therapy. Heather enjoys giving a focused treatment, whether it's for relaxation, or therapeutic benefit. She can provide deep tissue or gentle pressure depending on your wishes. Heather thoroughly enjoys her work and looks forward to providing your with safe, caring and healing hands. Registered Massage Therapist Robin believes in honouring the whole person, body, mind and spirit while encouraging people to actively participate in their own pursuit of health. She enjoyed working in a natural health store for many years prior to becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, which created an awareness that stress manifests in the body in many ways, often being at the root of many health problems. Reducing stress has wonderful effects on the immune system and she invites you to come and experience the healing benefits of massage therapy. Robin graduated from Trillium College in 2014 and has since been practicing at the Oban Inn in Niagara-on-the-Lake, where she grew up. She enjoys focusing on restorative and preventative therapy using deep tissue, therapeutic and relaxation massage.
