Workplace Ergonomic Assessment
As you spend many hours of your life sitting at your desk it only makes sense to identify potential risk factors that could affect your well-being and productivity at work. Having an ergonomic assessment will help you to modify and maintain your workspace to reduce or eliminate the risk of repetitive stress injuries as well as reducing related health expenses.
An Employee Symptoms Survey will be given to you to complete before the assessment takes place to ensure that individual needs are addressed. Immediate modifications and recommendations about proper posture, preventative tips, and some exercises that you can do throughout the day will be provided following your assessment to help relieve muscle stress and fatigue.
Each assessment will consist of an evaluation of the following: computer monitors, keyboards, keyboard trays, wrist rests, desks and work surfaces, desk lighting, chairs, computer mouse, document holders, telephones as well as other office equipment. Approximately 30-45 minutes is required for each of your workstations. A written report will be provided to you and your employer for reference purposes.
